M80 brings over Derrek for 2026 season to watch

M80 has signed Derrek "Derrek" Ha as the first member of its 2026 squad.

The veteran's reputation precedes him. Since making the move to Valorant from Overwatch in 2020, Derrek has played a central role in some of the most reputable North American squads, suiting up for Phoenix1 in the game's First Strike era, and On The Way and Rise during the game's pre-franchising Challengers period. He joined 100 Thieves in 2022, reaching Champions İstanbul with them and staying with the org during its first year in VCT's partnership era. In 2024, he joined Evil Geniuses as part of the team's post-Champions Los Angeles rebuild, and competed for the villains for two seasons before departing at the end of 2025.

Most recently, Derrek has played the Controller and Initiator roles. He joins as the team rebuilds from the ground up. He has been announced as the first player of the squad that will be coached by former player NiSMO , who retired and began his non-playing career earlier this week.

M80 's full roster is now:

• Derrek "Derrek" Ha
• Marc-Andre "NiSMO" Tayar (Head coach)
