Xan leaves Rex Regum Qeon

Xan "Xan" Ng has announced that Rex Regum Qeon has allowed him to explore his options as a free agent this offseason. According to Riot's VCT Global Contract Database, Xan's contract with RRQ ran through the 2027 season. Xan also shared that he is looking for opportunities as a Duelist or Controller and is open to all regions and languages.

Since joining RRQ midway through the year, Xan's role has evolved slightly. He made his debut for the team at EWC, replacing Monyet and taking on his duties in RRQ comps, which blended the Duelist and Controller roles. In the first match of Pacific Stage 2, Xan was replaced by Monyet, seemingly suggesting the team would take on a six-man roster. Jemkin missed one match due to illness, and both players played in the following week, with Kushy relegated to the bench.

Xan started the 2026 season with Singaporean org Motiv Esports , competing through the ROSEA Qualifier and then winning SEA Split 1 over Thai squad Sharper Esports . After failing to get through the ROSEA Qualifier for Split 2, Motiv exited Valorant, letting its players seek opportunities as unrestricted free agents.

In the offseason, Xan also competed with Team Secret in the team's SOOP League qualifiers. For most of the 2025 season, he played for NAOS , competing alongside the likes of xavi8k and PTC through Pacific Ascension, finishing 5th-6th. At just 19 years old, Xan has been well-traveled through his career, also competing for IGNITE , LaZe , and Enigma Gaming since making his debut in 2021 at just 14 years of age.

After lifting its first VCT title last year as winners of Stage 1, RRQ has failed to return to the top of the region, recording second, fourth, 5th-6th, and 13th-16th place finishes since then. RRQ is set to enter the offseason with an empty coaching booth, with head coach Jovi and assistant coach Warbirds both leaving the team, with Jovi sharing that he is an unrestricted free agent.
